1. Who we are

The Service is operated by Ritence Inc., a company incorporated in Canada - the umbrella behind a small family of digital products. Ritence Inc. is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this Policy. When we say "we," "us," or "Ritence," we mean Ritence Inc. 2. Information we collect

a. Information you provide

• Contact form. When you use the contact form we collect the name and email address you enter, the topic you select, and the message you write. This is the only personal information you actively submit to us.
• Email correspondence. If you email us directly, we retain your message and address so we can respond.

b. Information collected automatically

• Log data. Standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of the request. Used for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
• Local storage. A single acknowledgement entry recording that you dismissed the cookie notice. See the Cookie Policy for the complete list.

3. How we use your information

• To read and respond to messages you send through the contact form or by email.
• To operate, maintain, and secure the Service, including detecting and preventing abuse, spam, and fraud.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising. We do not build individual interest profiles. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Our legal basis. Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), we process the information you submit through the contact form on the basis of your consent, which you give when you send the form. Where the EU/UK GDPR applies to you, our lawful bases are your consent and our legitimate interest in reading and responding to your enquiry. You can withdraw your consent or object to this processing at any time by contacting us.

4. Cookies and local storage

Ritence uses only strictly-necessary storage - the cookie-notice acknowledgement described above. Because no non-essential cookies are set, we do not require separate opt-in consent. For the full list, see the Cookie Policy.

5. Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate the Service. Each is listed below with the data shared and the provider's role:

• MongoDB Atlas (database hosting). Contact-form submissions are stored in a MongoDB Atlas cluster. See MongoDB's Privacy Policy.
• Resend (transactional email). When configured, we use Resend to deliver contact-form submissions to our inbox. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare (CDN and security). Cloudflare may sit in front of the Service as a CDN and DDoS-mitigation layer; in that role it processes your IP address and request headers as a regular network proxy. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Where your data is processed. These providers may store and process your information on servers located in the United States and other countries outside Canada, so your information may be transferred across borders. We rely on the contractual and technical safeguards these providers maintain - such as standard contractual clauses and encryption in transit and at rest - to protect it. By using the Service or contacting us, you acknowledge that your information may be processed outside your country of residence.

6. How we share your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed in section 5, strictly to operate the Service, or where required to comply with the law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

7. Data retention

We retain contact-form messages in our database for up to 24 months from the date you send them, after which they are automatically deleted. We may keep a copy of our correspondence in our email system where needed to maintain a record of our exchange. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and abuse prevention.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict its processing. To make a request, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Service where appropriate.
